Mindfulness is presence in the moment. Christian Mindfulness is presence in God.
Mindfulness is presence in the moment. Christian Mindfulness is presence in God.
Mindfulness is being present in the moment...without judgment. Christian Mindfulness is being present spiritually within, with others, and with our surroundings - simply, being in the moment with God's creations.
Look at the photo to the left, you see a playground spinner.
Do you see something else? Christian Mindfulness helps us to look at reminders of our faith in the mundane, to look at the world differently. Does Christian cross represent suffering, or the love of selfless sacrifice?
The Divine is present in the grandeur of nature, in a laugh of a child, in the charity of giving, and in the compassion of a warrior. We just need to quiet our minds and train ourselves to be aware of our capacity to love others and ourselves. Our own capacity to heal and forgive.
We are ALL spiritual beings inter-connected in this journey called life. We are ALL connected to the Higher Power.
Thus, maybe when we experience joy and suffering, God does too. And if you worship under a different house, be it Jewish, Bhuddist, Muslim, or Hindi, we are all children of God.
Prayer is often practiced as a monologue - we recite words to God sometimes out of fear, ask for forgiveness, and even ask for action. Yet, few of expect - or even want - to hear God speak back to us. Why? God wants a relationship with us, so why wouldn't God want a dialogue? Do we hear God's messages? It may not be a voice, but it may not seem manifest. Being present with yourself, others, and nature may help you receive those messages.
if the message involves hate and harm, it is not from Divine.
If the message is about joy, forgiveness, and love....
We honor all in our journey on earth - yes, especially those who disagree with us, because they challenge us in our faith, hold us accountable, and even point out our hypocrisies.
So many have lost faith in religion because some houses of worship have become places of corruption, mind control, judgement, selfishness, and hate.
Corruptions are the manifestations of earthly beings.
Not the heavenly power of selfless love.
Love, anger, victory, defeat, and illness are all part of our human experience. We are not on earth to be perfect. We are here... to experience and choose.
The Oxford Language Dictionary defines "mundane" as .
"of this earthly world rather than a heavenly or spiritual one." We believe the that we can find symbols of Spirit in the mundane, in this earthly world - if only we look at our earthly world differently.
Are these telephone polls or crosses? Or both?
We see only through the filters of our experiences.
If non-Christian, maybe you see your Divine's power and beauty in nature.
Messages from Spirit can come in many forms - a feeling, a physical manifestation, an unusual physical event, or unexplainable coincidence - that conveys love & healing.
The practice of prayer also requires discernment.
That is, the ability to recognize what is good and not. If a message involves in any way hate, anger, judgment, or inflicting injury, it is certainly not from the Divine.
For practice, how many crosses do you see in the park photo? Can you think of something loving to say?
